FPC has an opening for a part-time (10-12 hours a week) Financial Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for all financial and accounting processes and practices within the church. You will work in cooperation with the Church Treasurer to ensure the financial resources of the church are used in alignment with practices of legal compliance and Christian stewardship.
The ideal candidate will have basic bookkeeping knowledge, be comfortable with basic accounting and financial processes, controls, and procedures, and embody a willingness to learn and become proficient using the database system utilized by the church.
Experience with accounting software such as Excel and QuickBooks as well as understanding basic payroll and benefits processes strongly preferred.
Some of essential functions of this position will be maintaining church budget records, providing monthly expense reports to church treasurer, bill payments, and managing payroll and benefits for employees of the church.
We are looking for strong people skills and the ability to clearly communicate financial details to staff and committee chairs.
