Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management and accounting principles, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel software.
Hours:
Choice of:
Monday – Thursday 6:15am to 4:45pm
Monday – Thursday 6:15am to 3:45pm and Friday 8:00am to 12:00pm
Monday – Thursday 7:15am to 4:45pm and Friday 8:00am to 12:00pm
Duties:
- Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records
- Manage accounts receivable processes and collections
- Assist in general ledger accounting and maintain financial reports
- Weekly Payroll with reports and tax payments
- Collaborate with the finance team to prepare financial statements
- Support with financial report writing and analysis
- Track job costing
- Other Office Duties
Skills:
The ideal candidate should possess the following skills:
-Proficiency in Sage (or similar) accounting software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel software
- Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting principles
- Experience with bank reconciliation and accounts receivable processes
- Ability to handle debits, credits, and account reconciliations
- Familiarity with financial report writing and analysis
- Previous experience as an accounting clerk is a plus
