NEWTOWN PUBLIC SCHOOLS

POSITION: Dean of Students
SCHOOL: Newtown High School, Sandy Hook, CT 06482
STARTING DATE: August 15, 2024
REMUNERATION: as per Newtown Federation of Teachers contract
QUALIFICATIONS: Connecticut Certification as an Intermediate Administrator and
Supervisor (092) preferred - High School leadership experience preferred. Current teaching
certificate required.
- Work with the principal, assistant principals and faculty to insure effective
- Assist in the supervision and improvement of the administrative procedures involving
- Coordinate efforts with administrators and school security to ensure a safe and
- Assist in coordinating activities and after school events for student health and safety
- Facilitate student-parent-teacher meetings
- Monitor cafeteria and study halls
- Carry out other duties as assigned by the principal
