United Methodist Communities is currently seeking a Cook for Bristol Glen Senior Care Community located in Newton, NJ. Bristol Glen, Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), is a thoughtfully designed and meticulously maintained 75-acre campus providing exceptional options for senior care living.
Shift: Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm
Status: Full Time
Department: Dining Services
Requirements for a UMC Cook:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of cooking and meal preparation experience.
- 3-4 years of related work experience. No supervisory experience required
Responsibilities for a UMC Cook:
- Ensures quality meal preparation including the following: consistency, presentation, flavor, temperature.
- Ensures safe food preparation including: receiving, storage, cooking, service, cleaning and sanitation of tools and work space.
- Fiscal stewardship of resident spends by following recipes, preparing food quantities as instructed, batch cooking and using proper cooking methods and techniques.
- Integral part of the production team supporting all dining programs (catering, events, retail, etc.).
