The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented individual who will oversee the company's financial records and accounting personnel. The Controller will be responsible for maintaining all procedures and controls related to the company's financial accounts while looking at areas of improvement.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct all aspects of accounting, financial reporting, and analysis.
• Ensure the integrity of accounting records and financial statements for completeness, accuracy and compliance with generally accepted accounting policies and principles.
• Develop and implement financial strategies, budgets, and forecasts.
• Prepare cash flow analysis including but not limited to tracking cash flow activity, preparing reports, and analyzing information for management.
• Develop reporting and variance analysis regarding operating budget versus actual expenses. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and corporate policies.
• Establish and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and optimize financial processes.
• Present and provide financial analysis and insights to executive leadership supporting strategic planning and decision-making.
• Collaborate with CFO and VP of Finance to assess financial performance and identify areas for improvement. Coordinate and support external audits and communicate (serving as the primary point of contact) with auditors.
• Provide guidance and oversight for the performance of any reporting team members.
• Develop and document standard operating procedures and/or policies

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required, CPA preferred
• 8 years of accounting experience along with leadership of accounting department
• GAAP knowledge
• Financial reporting, planning, and analysis experience in manufacturing is ideal.
• Strong familiarity with ERP systems,
• Proficient Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
