Position: Diesel Mechanic
Job Location: Newport News
Hutco Branch: Newport News
Rate of Pay: $26 per hour
DESCRIPTION:
We are currently seeking Diesel Mechanic for the Inside Machine Shop located in Norfolk Virginia. Must have at least 5 years’ experience in diesel engine repair and or outside machinist. Must have good attendance, reliable transportation, and the ability to work night shift as needed.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have main shafting experience.
- Knowledge of WAF’s a plus
- Must be able to complete work with little guidance from Supervisor.
- Basic knowledge of Standard Items a plus
- Must have basic knowledge of shop equipment
- Works well with others
- Must be able to obtain a government facility security pass (DBIDS)
- OSHA 10 Maritime
- Must be able to pass a seven-year background check w/ No Felonies
- Must pass drug test and E-Verify.
- Personal Protective Equipment:
Hard Hat, Steel Toe Safety Boots, Safety Glasses, Gloves
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Diesel Mechanics are responsible for accomplishing work in accordance with work specifications safety, with the highest quality, in a professional manner. Regular, reliable attendance on-site is an essential function of the job.
