Overview:
Basic Function:
The Controller will oversee the operations of the Accounting department and maintain accounting standards within established policies and procedures.
Essential Functions:
1. Assign, train, support and direct the staff to carry out the basic operation of their roles to give the maximum efficiency and performance, maintaining the policy and standards of the property.
2. Coach, develop and provide feedback to the staff for the continued growth in their current and future positions within our company.
3. Prepare within conjunction with General Manager, and Department Heads, all operational budgets, and forecasts.
4. Oversee preparation of accurate and timely monthly financial statements.
5. Develop and maintain internal controls in all departments.
6. Develop Risk Management program. Maintain insurance (general liability, property, and Worker’s Compensation) programs.
7. Coordinate all internal financial training and development of department heads and managers.
8. Function as financial advisor to the management team and provide on-going special project leadership.

Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or Finance preferred.
- Four years’ experience in accounting required. Prefer experience in hotels, restaurants, resorts, or conference centers. Payroll experience preferred.
- Supervisor experience required. Experience managing managers required.
- Strong computer skills. Proficient in Microsoft Outlook. Expert knowledge in Excel. Microsoft Teams, Word, PowerPoint, and OneNote experience desirable.
- Knowledge with a Hotel Property Management System required. StayNTouch experience desirable.
- Knowledge of F&B Point of Sales systems. Toast experience desirable.
- Knowledge working with Accounting system. F&O/ProfitSage experience desirable.
- Knowledge working with inventory/procurement system. Craftable experience desirable.
