Newport School District is Hiring a Title I Teacher Near Newport, NH

DO NOT APPLY VIA SCHOOLSPRINGApply Online at: SAU 43 Employment ApplicationPosition Goal: As a Title I Teacher, you will play a crucial role in providing supplemental instructional support to students who are at risk of falling behind academically. This position requires strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to develop and implement effective intervention strategies tailored to meet the individual needs of students.Education, Training, Skills, Experience, & Licensure Requirements: Valid New Hampshire teaching license or eligibility for licensure.Experience working with students who are at risk of academic failure, preferably in a Title I or similar setting.Strong understanding of evidence-based instructional practices and intervention strategies for struggling learners.Ability to analyze student data and develop targeted interventions to address individual learning needs.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents/guardians, and other stakeholders.Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to supporting the academic success of all students.Knowledge of federal and state regulations governing Title I programs is desirable.DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide direct instruction to students in small groups or one-on-one settings, focusing on areas of academic need identified through assessments and data analysis.Develop and implement individualized intervention plans to address the specific learning needs of students, including those related to reading, math, and other core subjects.Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and other stakeholders to coordinate services and support for students receiving Title I services.Monitor student progress through ongoing assessment and data collection, adjusting instruction and intervention strategies as needed to ensure student growth and achievement.Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and intervention activities, ensuring compliance with state and federal reporting requirements.Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to provide updates on student progress, discuss concerns, and offer strategies for supporting learning at home.Stay informed about best practices in Title I instruction, educational research, and relevant state and federal policies and regulations.Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills related to Title I instruction and student support.Participate in family engagement activities both during school hours and after.DO NOT APPLY VIA SCHOOLSPRINGApply Online at: SAU 43 Employment Application
