Position: Cyber Security Analyst
Location: Onsite, Newburyport, MA (Must live within commutable distance)
Role Summary:
Reporting directly to the VP of Information Technology, the Cyber Security Analyst is responsible for securing our various information systems. This role involves providing technical expertise in network, system, and application security, leading the vulnerability management program, managing annual cybersecurity assessments, and proactively mitigating risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- 🛡️ Plan for disaster recovery and create contingency plans.
- 🛡️ Monitor for attacks, intrusions, and unauthorized activities.
- 🛡️ Test and evaluate security products.
- 🛡️ Design new security systems or upgrade existing ones.
- 🛡️ Use advanced analytic tools to detect emerging threats and vulnerabilities.
- 🛡️ Run internal security scans, coordinate mitigation, and track results.
- 🛡️ Investigate security alerts and participate in incident response.
Qualifications:
- 🎓 Bachelor’s in Cyber Security or related discipline.
- 💼 2 years of systems administration in an Active Directory environment.
- 💼 2 years of cyber security experience.
- 📜 Security certification.
- 🛠️ Experience with IT Security Frameworks (NIST, GDPR, PCI, ISO 27001, CMMC, etc.).
- 🛠️ Proficiency in IT Security Tools (Nessus, Kali Linux, Metasploit, Wireshark, etc.).
- 🛠️ Familiarity with Azure / Office 365, endpoint, server and network malware detection, SQL Server, SharePoint, ERP systems.
