$75,000 - $85,000Job DescriptionPosition Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Systems Administrator. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining and optimizing the IT infrastructure. The Systems Administrator will be responsible for ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of systems and networks.
Responsibilities
- System Maintenance and Monitoring:
- Perform regular system maintenance tasks, including updates, patches, and security configurations.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues proactively to ensure optimal performance.
- Server and Network Management:
- Manage and configure servers, both physical and virtual, to ensure seamless operation.
- Administer and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
- User Support:
- Provide technical support to end-users, addressing hardware and software issues.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve escalated support tickets promptly.
- Security:
- Implement and enforce security measures to protect the organization's systems and data.
- Conduct regular security audits and implement best practices for data integrity.
- Backup and Recovery:
- Develop and maintain backup and recovery strategies to safeguard critical data.
- Test and execute backup and recovery procedures to ensure data availability in case of emergencies.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of system and network administration, including proficiency with Windows/Linux operating systems.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or CompTIA Server are a plus.
