*This position will require a hybrid setting in Newark, NJ and start out as an 8 month contract*

Responsibilities:

• Surface data-driven opportunities for business functions (Content, Marketing, Product, Growth/Expansion).
• Provide tactical, operational, economic, and financial analysis for decision-making.
• Develop KPIs, scorecards, and scientific models for initiative tracking and execution.
• Take ownership of data product lifecycle from conception to presentation.
• Partner with cross-functional teams and be a trusted technical advisor.
• Conduct analysis, communicate findings, and work effectively in a cross-functional team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Illustrate key business trends through problem framing, analysis, and visualization.
• Create management scorecards and dashboards for accurate reporting.
• Deliver impactful analysis based on economic, financial, and statistical analysis.
• Estimate scenario impacts using analytical/financial models.
• Develop and validate methods to optimize customer interactions.
• Develop in-depth knowledge of data sources and analytical tools.
• Develop compelling presentations and communicate findings effectively.
• Proactively communicate factors affecting deliverables to senior management.
• Explain assumptions and methodologies to colleagues and stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications:

• 3 years of relevant experience in Strategic Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Science, or Consulting.
• Quantitative degree or equivalent experience in a data-driven/analytical role.
• Background in content/media, marketing tech, subscription business, or internet industries.
• Knowledge of data/analytical tools such as SQL, Tableau, Microstrategy, Python, R.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree or equivalent experience in a data-driven/analytical role.
• Proficiency in Python, R, or other analytics/data science tools.
