Job Summary:
We are a private practice of nurse practitioners. Our environment is easy-going and flexible--big on respecting one another and our clients. We are seeking a psych NP with experience in older adolescents and adults, preferably with substance use experience (but we are willing to train the right candidate). We are looking for at least 8 hours per week: At least 8 hours on a Friday in-person at least 2 days per month; the other 2 Fridays can be done remotely. You also have an opportunity to move some or your remote hours to other days that work for you. This is primarily a medication management position, with 60 minutes for evaluations and 30 minutes for follow-ups. We have an exceptional admin who helps with scheduling, insurance auths, medication prior auths, etc.
Duties:
- Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Provide therapeutic interventions and emotional support to patients
- Educate patients and families on mental health conditions and treatment options
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
Skills:
-At least 1 year in practice as a PMHNP or some degree of prior psych experience as an RN with good clinical experience
