Job Title: Daycare Teacher

Job Summary:
As a Daycare Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in the development and care of young children in a daycare setting. You will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that fosters the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of children in your care. Your duties will include planning and implementing age-appropriate activities, maintaining a clean and organized classroom, communicating effectively with parents and guardians, and ensuring the overall well-being of the children.

Salary:
$16 Per Hour

Location
: San Antonio, TX

Hours: 8:00
am to 4:00pm (Monday - Friday)

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities and curriculum that promote the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of children.
  • Create a safe, clean, and stimulating environment conducive to learning and exploration.
  • Provide individualized attention and care to each child, taking into account their unique needs and abilities.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and coworkers through open communication and collaboration.
  • Maintain accurate records of children's progress, including observations, assessments, and developmental milestones.
  • Monitor children's health and well-being, including administering medication and responding to medical emergencies as needed.
  • Supervise children during outdoor play, meals, and rest periods, ensuring their safety at all times.
  • Collaborate with other daycare staff members to plan and coordinate special events, field trips, and parent-teacher conferences.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
  • Adhere to all daycare policies, procedures, and regulations, including those related to health, safety, and sanitation.
Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience working with young children in a daycare, preschool, or similar setting.
  • Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with children, parents, and coworkers.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with young children.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing circumstances in a fast-paced environment.
  • Current CPR and first aid certification preferred.
  • Ability to pass a background check and meet all state licensing requirements for childcare providers.
