Facility: NYU Kimmel Pavilion Unit: KP 15 CCU (HYBRID/MIXED UNIT) travelers expected to also perform acute duties. Ratios vary: 1:2, 1:4-5, mixed acuity Floating: Expected to float to KP 15 Acute Unit requires travelers who are flexible, willing to work, float as needed. This can be a high volume, fast paced/difficult unit to work on. We need travelers who are willing to learn and keep up. Required: ACLS BLS IV Start Tele EPIC TRAVEL & 2 yrs exp - RNs may float to other units as needed Preferred: CPI, charge nurse exp, SWANS Minimum Exp: 2 years, epic required, no 1st time travelers Unit Details: 34 bed unit: 8 CCU beds with ICU and Intermediate Care patient, 16 acute care beds covered by housestaff 24/7, 8 Cardiology/Medicine acute care beds covered by 24/7 APP Team. All patients monitored on bedside monitors with integration in Epic. Each patient is in a single room , all rooms have computers, bathrooms and showers. Hourly rounds and beds side shift report. 2 ICU/2 IMC mixed acuity. Special Equipment: Impella, balloon pump - REQUIRED, swan-ganz, inotropes, pressors, transvenous pacemakers, LVAD, diuretic drips, mechanical ventilation, artic sun, ppm. NO RTO is allowed the first 2 weeks of the start date. Max of 7 days of RTO is allowed and will need to be approved by the manager during time of booking. RTO must be submitted with profile - not during offer or after. Scrubs: Hunter Green 13 shift may be scheduled every 4 weeks, per facility description. Please make sure your traveler is aware and agreeable. 13 shift verbiage must be in your travelers contract!!
