Job Description – 

Position: Tax Senior Manager

Location: Remote (Nashville, TN preferred)

Overview: 

• This position is responsible for managing the Company’s taxes and tax filings, which includes estimated federal, foreign and state taxes. The position will be the main contact with external specialists preparing our tax returns and in charge of tax planning and forecasting. This position is also in charge of working with external specialists to prepare the Company year-end GAAP income tax provision and coordinating with external auditors on the testing of the provision. The position is also responsible for answering questions as they arise on taxes from other departments throughout the Company and performing tax research and special projects as needed.

Main Responsibilities: 

• Manage all the Company’s tax filings, including, federal and state tax returns, joint venture tax returns, and foreign tax returns.
• Oversee work with our outside public accounting firm that has been hired to prepare the federal, state, foreign and joint venture tax returns. This includes providing all relevant information, reviewing the returns, and helping submit them for filing.
• Work directly with the external audit team working on the year-end provision for our consolidated audit.
• Supervise our tax senior and reviewing all of their work on indirect tax, including sales tax filings, property tax and ad valorem.
• Assist with our tax planning and forecasting, including estimating quarterly federal tax payments.
• Serve as the direct contact for all tax related questions as they arise throughout the initial construction and financing of our facilities, including tax research projects.

Reporting: Director of Financial Reporting

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• CPA license required

Experience: 7-9 years of work experience, current or previous public accounting experience required. Strong working knowledge of the Federal Tax Code and experience in preparation and review of tax returns required.
