Job Title: Certified Surgical Technologist
Job Location: Nashville, TN 37205
Job Type: Contract - 13 weeks
Job Duties:
- Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to provide direct assistance during surgical procedures. This includes anticipating the surgeon's needs, passing instruments, and maintaining a sterile field.
- Prepare surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies before each procedure. Ensure all items are sterilized and set up in accordance with established protocols.
- Assist in the positioning and preparation of patients for surgery. Monitor patients' vital signs and assist with the application of sterile drapes.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of surgical instruments and their proper usage. Arrange for the timely sterilization and availability of instruments required for each surgical case.
- Work closely with surgeons, nurses, anesthesiologists, and other members of the surgical team to coordinate efforts and enhance the overall efficiency of the operating room
- Assist with the postoperative care of patients, including wound closure, application of dressings, and transferring patients to the recovery area.
- Adhere to infection control protocols, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards to ensure a safe and sterile surgical environment.
- Stay updated on advancements in surgical technology, techniques, and equipment. Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance professional knowledge and skills.
Job Requirements:
- BLS (AHA)
- NBSTSA or NCCT certification
- Covid card and Flu vaccine
- Must be certified surgical technologist
