Wood Personnel, in partnership with a reputable organization in Nashville, TN, is currently seeking a dedicated Controller to join their team. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Controller will serve as a strategic partner in financial management, overseeing various accounting functions within the organization. The successful candidate will be well-compensated with a salary range of $85,000 to $90,000 annually, plus a potential bonus, along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Controller Compensation and Benefits:

• $85,000 - $90,000 base salary, plus a potential annual bonus of $15,000

Controller Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and guidance in essential daily accounting procedures and activities
• Lead and manage all aspects of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
• Oversee all facets of general ledger maintenance and management
• Prepares adjusting journal entries for review by the CEO
• Prepares financial reports to summarize and interpret current and projected financial positions
• Makes recommendations regarding the accounting reserves, assets, and expenditures
• Reviews accounts payable vouchers for proper coding and approval
• Reviews biweekly payroll
• Participates in all decision making activities pertaining to benefits
• Coordinates transitions in benefits plans
• Process benefit payments
• Oversees new employee orientation process
• Preform other duties as assigned

Controller Skills and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, or related field plus CPA required
• Minimum 3-5 years in Accounting or Business Management preferred
• Experience managing people required
• Experience with Sage 100 software is a plus
• Must think clearly and work well under stress while handling multiple demands
