As a New Accounts/CSR III, you'll be the go-to expert in opening new consumer and basic business accounts. Your role involves processing all new account transactions, guiding clients in selecting the right accounts and financial services, and actively promoting the Bank's products and services. You'll also handle account maintenance and closures, perform essential branch clerical tasks, and foster positive client relationships by referring them to appropriate staff and partners for additional services.
Essential Duties:
- Conduct thorough customer interviews to understand their needs and recommend suitable banking products and services.
- Proactively seize sales opportunities by cross-selling bank products and services to both new and existing customers, ensuring alignment with their financial goals.
- Contribute to generating new business to support bank profitability and branch objectives.
- Collaborate effectively with other bank departments to identify sales prospects and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
- Assist in the opening and maintenance of various consumer and business accounts, including checking, savings, CDs, IRAs, and Trust & Estate Accounts.
- Stay updated on bank products, services, and relevant New Account laws and procedures.
- Ensure accurate documentation approval and upload in the core banking system.
- Process teller transactions as required while maintaining excellent balancing records.
-Compile and process various reports as assigned, such as currency transactions, returned items, overdrafts, and callbacks.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar banking role preferred.
- Strong knowledge of banking products, services, and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and banking software.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications in banking or finance
