DLU Healthcare is Hiring a Medicaid Coordinator Near Norwich, NY

Looking for a motivated, detail orientated person to work in a busy nursing home assisting families to complete Medicaid applications. The Medicaid Specialist will assist potential enrollees with the Medicaid application process, recertification and eligibility issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Educate potential enrollees regarding the Medicaid process.
  • Collect documentation and assemble/submit application packets.
  • Follow-up communication with LDSS offices to trackapplications through the system.
  • Recertify all residents’ coverage before it lapses (typically annually).
  • Research and resolve Medicaid issues including provision of requested documentation within specified time frames.
  • Maintain accurate records of members’ eligibility statuses and recertification dates.
  • Be a community ambassador for the facility.

Qualifications

You should be highly organized and a team player. Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must. The ideal candidate will be able to build strong relationships with residents, families, and the government agencies with which we work. You must have the ability to work independently managing multiple projects as there is plenty of room for growth in this organization.

Requirements: A minimum of 1 year of Medicaid Eligibility Experience.
