Tia Pol is looking for a dynamic and ambitious part-time manager (25-30 hours per week) to lead our team and oversee the daily operations of the restaurant. Successful candidates are ready to inspire and mentor a team of servers and hosts to deliver unparalleled hospitality. About the restaurant:Tia Pol is a nearly 20-year-old neighborhood tapas restaurant and wine bar. We feature an all-Spanish wine list, and a classic menu of Spanish tapas with nightly blackboard specials. Requirements include:- 3 years experience in restaurant management- Ability to think strategically and analytically about the financial health of the restaurant, forecasting as well as reporting in all arenas including cost control, labor, and profitability- Strong food and beverage knowledge- Ability to work and excel in a fast-paced environment- Strong interpersonal skills and maturity- Demonstrate ability for problem-solving and generating creative solutions in line with the restaurant's vision- Genuine passion for hospitality- Part-time availability, with potential to move into a full-time role.Responsibilities include:- Labor and Staffing: Process weekly payroll, onboard and train all new employees, control labor costs, write schedules- Floor management: Drive sales through maximizing reservations book, coach and mentor staff, observe and analyze challenges in service and present solutions- Financials: Track and compare daily sales, monitor and identify purchasing irregularities including petty cash, forecast (along with budgets) spending and report to owners- Facilities: Create and maintain cleaning schedules and monitor upkeep of the restaurant- Kitchen management and communication: work with chef to manage labor and food purchasingQualified candidates should respond via email.
