This role will be located at one of Discovery Land Company’s locations: Troubadour Golf & Field Club, set outside of Nashville Tennessee. Troubadour Golf & Field Club is seeking a Laborer to join the HOA Department. In this role, you will be part of creating the Discovery Land Company experience for our members and fellow employees. Key Responsibilities • HOA Laborer Perform daily job-site cleanup, including clearing debris, sweeping, mopping, and cleaning. Maintain job-site fencing and roadways. Rake and maintain exterior sites. Perform simple construction tasks, build fencing, pour concrete fence footings and other rough carpentry work as requested. Use project supplied tools to maintain buildings and sites. Clean project offices. Other job specific responsibilities as determined by the field supervision and project management team and as assigned. Performs a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in golf construction projects; performs manual work in preparing surfaces for paving. Operate a variety of hand and power tools and may clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces to support the sides of excavations, erect scaffolding, clean up rubble and debris, and remove waste materials. Shovels bituminous concrete (asphalt) and sand into construction areas. Assists in patching asphalt with hot and cold mix. Excavates and fills trenches and ditches. Maintains a clean job site: picks up all tools and equipment and secures job site each day to eliminate potential hazards. Performs materials handling and storage. Loads and unloads trucks and hauls and hoists materials. Ensures that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed. Assist other craft workers. Qualifications Experience using landscaping equipment, i.e. push mowers and weed whackers, preferred. Working knowledge of annuals, perennials, shrubs, and trees. Possess a valid driver’s license and ability to operate vehicles. Work comfortably in various climactic conditions, including sporadic weather events such as spontaneous wind, hard rain, bitter cold, and sweltering heat. Additional Requirements Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members. Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Long hours may be required due to business demands. Ability to work in a team environment. Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred. Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.
