Hazen and Sawyer is seeking an Senior AutoCAD Civil 3D Designer, with knowledge and experience in preparing linear drawings of water and sewer infrastructure; grading, site, and yard-piping plans; and/or has experience with Process Mechanical piping having worked alongside staff Engineers and Senior CAD Designers. Daily tasks will support the design and production of contract documents for various water, sewer, and stormwater pipeline and civil/site facility projects.

Position responsibilities include:

• Prepare plan and profile, section, and detail drawings for various conveyance infrastructure projects.

• Prepare site, paving, grading, and yard-piping plans and perform cut-fill and Bid Item quantity calculations.

• Coordinate with Project Managers, Senior CAD Designers, and other design disciplines throughout project execution.

• Ensure drawing compliance with Hazen and client CAD standards, styles, and SOPs.

• Incorporate surveys, GIS, and aerial imagery as required for preparation of construction drawings.

Required Experience and Skills:

• Completion of technical school CAD design certificate with emphasis on Civil 3D preferred.

• Proficiency in Civil 3D required.

• AutoCAD 2D skills required.

• Revit experience/skills is a plus.

• Basic understanding of pipe materials and fittings, joint-restraint, and pre-cast concrete structures.

• Knowledge of standard drafting procedures and formatting.

• Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate with other designers.

• 8-15 years of CAD design/drafting experience.
