- The Idaho Press has an opening for a Circulation Manager to lead the circulation department.
Essential Job Functions
- Ensure the efficient distribution of products through specific assignments involving route restructuring, consolidation, splits, divisions, or other means, designed to maximize volumes while limiting expense exposure.
- Responsible for recruiting for carrier route vacancies, including whether and when to place advertisements in the newspaper or to use other methods for independent contractor recruitment.
- Responsible for ensuring subscriber satisfaction with delivery of all products.
- Responsible for ensuring that a current contract with all required documentation is on file for all independent contractors.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
- Working knowledge of newspaper distribution process and retention programs. .
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work varied hours, including last nights/early mornings, weekends, and holidays, due to nature of the business performed.
- High school graduate or equivalent: some college preferred
- Previous experience in a newspaper setting is preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft office Suite preferred
