Position Description

Position Title: Bakery Production Supervisor

Primary Function: Provides front line oversight of daily production, packing, safety and quality processes to assure WESCO provides a safe, efficient environment and produces World Class quality Bakery goods.

Reporting Relationship: Bakery Operations Manager

Direct Reports: Bakery Associates

Functions:

• Provides front line oversight of the safe and efficient daily production manufacturing practices, as well as the overall product quality of the WESCO Bakery Commissary Operations.
• Exemplifies and advocates the WESCO Brand image throughout the Organization.
• Provides leadership to the production floor and associates to ensure WESCO is following regulations set by WESCO, State, and Federal entities.
• Responsible for the floor level oversight of the daily production process at the WESCO Bakery.
• Conducts monthly JP&R sessions with direct reports and encourages engagement throughout the bakery.
• Works in collaboration with the Bakery Operations Manager to execute planning for scheduled and unscheduled service of WESCO Bakery equipment and assets.
• Works collaboratively with the Bakery Operations Manager and Senior Quality & Process Manager to maintain consistent execution and adherence to quality standards.
• Oversees processes to assure all quality checks are executed daily by workstation.
• Assists in the responsible usage of inventory.
• Documents and retrieves production data and provides shift reports daily for assigned production area.
• Responsible for meeting and reducing waste goals in the production process.
• Works collaboratively with Bakery Leadership to meet established KPI targets.
• Provides feedback and insight for new item introductions and launches.
• Promote a customer and associate centric based passion for safety, productivity, and quality.
• Responsible for the execution of established quality standards in assigned production area.
• Collaborates with facility leadership to recruit and develop associates and team members.
• Responsible for the effective onboarding of hourly associates and the execution of established training plans.

Qualifications:

• Associates Degree and/or 2 years in a Food Service Manufacturing, or related field.
• Understands and advocates WESCO’s commitment to its Mission Statement, Unifying Principles and Company Guidelines.
• Highly motivated, positive team player, with the ability to inspire others to achieve desired results while maintaining and “hands on” approach.
• Maintain a professional appearance that is reflective of our commitment to quality.
• Possess the ability to work collaboratively with others, between departments and vendor partners.
• Strong background in customer service and emphasizing associate care to ensure success.
• Possess skill in leadership, interpersonal communication and staff development.

• Ability to handle a varied work schedule, including weekends, 24-hour availability, and unexpected situations.
• Maintains a current Always Food Safe Certification.
• Ability to obtain a Forklift Certification

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $21.00 per hour
