FactoryFix is Hiring a CNC Process Engineer Near Muskegon, MI
and industrial gas turbine manufacturing.
Responsibilities:
- Program, set up, and operate CNC machines in accordance with blueprints and customer specifications.
- Develop and document detailed CNC process plans, including step-by-step instructions, tooling requirements, and machining parameters as required. Identify risks and develop mitigation plans.
- Collaborate with production, quality, engineering teammates, and customers to optimize tooling, manufacturing processes, assembly, and testing/inspections.
- Verify the completeness and accuracy of CNC programs.
- Revise programs as necessary to enhance efficiency and ensure quality.
- Knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), First Article Inspection Report (FAI), and fixed processes.
- Manage and develop new products within the shop.
- Ability to resolve unforeseen and challenging issues in a timely fashion.
- Track lessons learned and share with team members for continual improvement.
- Supports the growth of employee training by offering assistance as needed.
- Develop a strong professional relationship with co-workers.
- Demonstrate the ability to function and contribute independently.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited university **OR **extensive experience in the Engineering field
- Must be proficient in G-Code and M-Code programming with the ability to troubleshoot, edit, prove out processes, perform first piece runs, and recommend changes to programs on multi-axis machine tools proficiently.
- Experience with macro programming, CNC milling, CNC, CBN, & creep feed grinding.
- 3-5 years of Process Engineer experience, preferably in aerospace and/or automotive.
- Experience with aerospace and/or industrial gas turbine manufacturing.
- Experience with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD & T).
- Strong Technical Communication.
- Project Management skills.
- Product support engineering.
- Excellent time management in the face of multiple time sensitive projects.
