Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Medical/Surgical team. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide direct patient care, collaborate with healthcare professionals, and ensure the delivery of high-quality medical services. This is a full-time position offering competitive pay and benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments on patients
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes or abnormalities
- Assist with coding procedures and documentation
- Provide specialized care for patients requiring neonatal ventilator support
- Perform IV insertions and manage IV therapy
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Coordinate discharge planning and provide patient education on post-discharge care
- Provide care for patients in internal medicine, geriatrics, and other medical/surgical specialties
- Assist with diagnostic procedures such as mammography
- Utilize aseptic technique to maintain a sterile environment
- Manage airways and provide respiratory support as needed
Experience:
To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:
- Valid Registered Nurse license in [state]
- Minimum 2 years of experience in medical/surgical nursing
- Proficiency in coding procedures and documentation
- Experience with neonatal ventilators and IV therapy management
- Strong knowledge of discharge planning and patient education
- Familiarity with internal medicine, geriatrics, and other medical/surgical specialties
- Competency in aseptic technique and infection control practices
