Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Substitute Teacher for a temporary position for the month of October. As a Substitute Teacher, you will play a crucial role in providing continuity in the absence of the regular classroom teacher.
Duties:
- Implement lesson plans left by the absent teacher to ensure continuity in education.
- Manage classroom behavior and create a positive learning environment.
- Provide instruction, encourage student participation, and facilitate learning.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment.
Skills:
- Experience working with children in educational settings.
- Knowledge of childhood development and educational practices.
- Familiarity with special education principles is a plus.
- Ability to manage classroom dynamics and behavior effectively.
- Strong communication skills to interact with students, staff, and parents.
- Experience in tutoring or mentoring students is beneficial.
- Competence in lesson planning and delivering engaging lessons.
- Teaching license/experience is a big plus!
- Must be able to pass a background check.
Schedule:
This is just a temporary position for the month of October.
Monday: 9:30-11:30 AM
Tuesday: 9:00-11:15 AM and 12:45-3:00 PM
Wednesday: 9:00-11:15 AM and 12:45-3:00 PM
Thursday: 9:00-11:15 AM and 12:45-3:00 PM
Friday: 9:30-11:30 AM
