Wastequip is Hiring a Material handler 2nd Near Mount Sterling, KY
This position is for 2nd shift : 3 : 00PM-11 : 30PM
Responsibilities for Forklift :
- Supplying production with materials and parts as required to meet production demands.
- Transfer finished goods to holding and / or loading areas.
- Perform safety inspections and simple routine maintenance to ensure Forklift remains safe and fully operational.
Responsibilities for Grinding :
- Examines and feels surface of workpiece for defects.
- Operates a disc grinder to remove rough spots, burrs other excess metals from a variety of metal components in accordance with specifications.
- Work is subject to inspection and periodic quality checks, with instructions given on new work or variations in requirements.
- Ensure the workplace maintains compliance with 5S standards and always wears the proper PPE for the job.
- Assist in machine operation.
- Learn the operation of the machine and be able to run it to help with coverage and time off on the shift.
Qualifications :
- 1 years prior experience operating a forklift in a production environment a plus.
- Able to work Overtime when needed.
- Must be mindful of detail.
- Ability to grind horizontal and vertical surfaces with basic grinding tools.
- Any other duties as assigned by Shift Supervisor.
- Able to work in a manufacturing environment which includes heat, cold and noise.
