Position Overview:

The Vice President of Operations plays a pivotal role in driving transformative growth and delivering exceptional results in alignment with the organization's strategic vision. This dynamic leader is adept at driving process optimization and possesses a proven track record in systems implementation, as well as successful business acquisitions and integrations. This operations expert will lead and coordinate manufacturing and distribution across multiple locations, delivering all aspects of supply chain, production, quality, sales support and customer service, logistics, distribution, and warehouse operations.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Own P&L leadership and accountability for the operational aspects of the organization.
  • Lead operations activities including production, purchasing, capital equipment and tooling investment, shipping and receiving, facility maintenance, cost control, operations analysis, and delivery performance.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the operations function, encouraging feedback, implementing best practices, and fostering a mindset of agility and adaptability to drive long-term success.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline operations, optimize processes, and reduce costs across the company's various functions, including manufacturing, logistics, and supply chain management.
  • Oversee the implementation of new systems and technologies to improve operational efficiency, enhance productivity, and support business growth; support a new global ERP system implementation and optimize its use within the operations functions.
  • Ensure organizational operations are stable and scalable, able to support significant organic growth efficiently and successfully, as well as acquisitions.
  • Support operational due diligence and reviews of acquisitions; identify opportunities for synergies and support finance with modeling acquisition options.
  • Develop integration plans to seamlessly merge newly acquired businesses into the company's operational framework, including people, processes, and systems.
  • Collaborate closely with other departments, including sales, marketing, finance, and IT, to ensure alignment and integration of operations with overall business strategies and objectives.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the performance of operations, conducting regular analysis, and providing reports to executive team to support decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Manage budget spend and production plans for impact to financial performance.
  • Manage strategic purchasing and materials management decisions to ensure supply chain is supporting business demand, limiting disruption exposure, and driving cost savings.
  • Forecast operating costs of department and direct preparation of budget requests.
  • Establish an understanding of key technology trends that can be leveraged to gain and maintain leadership in a competitive marketplace. Create and execute implementation plan for rollout of new technologies, as needed.

Qualifications/Skills Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, operations management, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 10 years of progressive leadership experience in operations management, with a proven track record of success in leading teams through mergers and acquisitions, business integration, system implementation, and strategic planning.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with a strong emphasis on data-driven insights and innovation.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities, with a demonstrated ability to inspire, motivate, and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Experience managing a multi-site, international operations organization and ability to travel to various sites (both domestic and international) as business requires and manage teams across multiple time zones.
  • Up to 30% travel required.
  • Experience with implementing ERP systems preferred.
  • Experience leading operations in a high mix and configure-to-order assembly and distribution environment preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of the principles, procedures, and best practices in the industry.
  • Experience in Gaming or knowledge of regulated markets preferred.
