We are a two doctor, small animal veterinary practice located in Budd Lake, New Jersey, looking to hire a full time veterinary technician.
Our practice strives to provide excellent care for not just our four legged patients, but for their two legged humans as well. We offer medical, surgical and dental care in a clean, pleasant, (usually) relaxed environment.

A cheerful disposition, good interpersonal skills and a willingness to work and learn are most important. Experience with anesthesia is required. We work hard, but we have fun too. Some, but not all, of the job description includes medical nursing, preparing and giving medications, placing IV catheters, drawing blood, anesthesia and surgical prep, equipment maintenance, light cleaning etc.. You will also have direct interaction with the clients through history taking in the exam room, post op follow up, routine follow up phone calls for sick patients etc. and will occasionally be asked to cover the front desk if the receptionist needs extra help.

This is not an environment where you will be "baby sat". You will be expected to know (after you're trained of course!) what your job is and be expected to do it without needing to be reminded. You will be expected to dress and behave in a professional manner and interact with your peers in a positive, constructive and pleasant manner.
