Konnect Resources is Hiring a Facilities & Maintenance Coordinator Near Mount Kisco, NY

Position Summary:

Under supervision, performs various facility and maintenance repair work in multiple areas including plumbing, groundskeeping, machine servicing, or other general property work. Additionally, manages the building access system, monitors external contractor work, and orders and stocks supplies as needed.

Contract Duration: Temporary 6 months to 1 year.

Hourly Rate: $28.20 - $29.23 per hour ($55-57k annually).

Work Schedule: 100% Onsite, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours a week (morning shift starting at 7 or 8 am EST, with a 30-minute lunch break).

Key Responsibilities

Overview:

Relying on limited experience and knowledge, this role is responsible for accomplishing the following varied and frequently non-routine assignments:

  • Building Access System Management:
  • Add, delete, and maintain employee access records.
  • Issue electronic access devices.
  • Building and Equipment Monitoring:
  • Monitor building equipment and office machines such as HVAC units, boilers, refrigerators, copiers, etc., to ensure they are in good working order.
  • Minor Maintenance and Repairs:
  • Repair plumbing leaks, unclog drains, and maintain toilets in operable condition.
  • Contractor Coordination:
  • Coordinate and monitor contractors performing installation and maintenance on company property, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, landscaping, painting, cleaning, and other related equipment and property.
  • Grounds Maintenance:
  • Clear walkways, remove debris, and perform seasonal work such as spreading salt on walk areas.
  • Supply Monitoring and Restocking:
  • Monitor and restock building and office supplies daily, including copier paper, water coolers, hand soap, hand sanitizer, etc.
  • Monitor and restock kitchen supplies daily, including coffee, tea, cutlery, plates, cups, dish soap, etc.
  • Mail and Package Distribution:
  • Distribute incoming mail and packages and place outgoing mail in the mailbox each morning.
  • Purchasing and Assembly:
  • Purchase equipment and supplies necessary to perform tasks.
  • Order and assemble office chairs and other small furniture items as needed.
  • Emergency Response and Safety:
  • Respond to building emergencies as needed.
  • Ensure safety and emergency equipment, including exit signs, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, and AED Defibrillator, is in good working order.
  • Plan and execute a fire drill at least once per year.
  • Arrange CPR training every two years.
  • Monitor temperature in the building throughout the day and adjust as needed.

  • Assist with office events as needed (additional chairs, tables, etc.).

Position Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements

Education:

  • Minimum: High School or GED

Experience:

  • 2 years of relevant and progressive experience performing routine maintenance and repair of equipment and facilities.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and general office equipment.

Other Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Good organizational and analytical skills; ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word).

Working Conditions and Physical Demands

  • Overtime hours may be required to fulfill job responsibilities.
  • May be required to move for extended periods of time.
  • May be required to move up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to operate a computer and other devices.
  • Close vision and ability to adjust focus, such as required to read a computer screen.
