Interfaith Food Pantry is Hiring a Director of Operations Near Morris, NJ

```Job Summary```
The Director of Operations (DO) works in partnership with the Executive Director and leadership team to execute the strategic mission of the Interfaith Food Pantry Network. This is a cross-functional leadership position that spans Warehouse Operations, Information Systems, Planning/Procurement and Facilities Management, and works in conjunction with the Directors of HR/Finance, Development and Programs, as well as the Executive Director, to further the goals of the organization. In addition to monitoring day-to-day operations, the DO promotes organizational growth and sustainability by evaluating, improving, and streamlining systems, processes, and procedures. The DO reports directly to the Executive Director.

```Specific Responsibilities```
Operations

· Oversees day-to-day general operations including procurement, inventory and warehouse management, facilities, food recovery, logistics and technology

· Collaborate with IFPNs leadership team to develop and implement plans to ensure systems, processes and infrastructure are in place to further the IFPN’s strategic objectives

· Assess operations 6 months-1 year ahead for any challenges or to meet the needs of strategic shifts within IFPN

· With ED and IT Manager conducts periodic review of information systems. Makes recommendations and oversees upgrades and improvement projects as needed

· With Warehouse Supervisor and Facilities Superintendent ensures vehicles, plant and equipment are maintained. Promotes a healthy and safe work environment.

· Works with Warehouse and Volunteer Managers to ensure compliance with all OSHA and DOT standards and that internal safety protocols are being followed.

· Works with Facilities Superintendent at both locations to ensure inspections and maintenance are timely and that appropriate records are kept

HR/Finance

· Assists ED and Director of Finance/HR in the development of Annual Operating Budget

· Works with ED and HR Director to develop staff training protocols

Programs

· Works with Director of Programs in ensuring resources are available to execute on site and mobile programs and services.

· Works with programs and operations staff to facilitate inter-departmental communication and coordination

Other

· Provides exceptional and professional “customer service” to all internal and external stakeholders including guests, volunteers, donors, vendors, etc..

May be asked to participate in specific Community Relations or Development functions i.e., tours, special events, etc.

  • Knowledge of or aptitude for CRM/Databases/Information Systems; proficiency in MS Office a must. Salesforce a
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects

The ideal candidate is an energetic and curious self-starter with a passion for making a difference in our community. This candidate enjoys a fast-paced, dynamic atmosphere and is hands-on, solutions, and outcome oriented. Some Food Pantry/Food Bank or similar warehouse/operational experience is desired.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
