What You Will Be Doing:
- Collaborate with management and cross-functional teams to generate maps that support ongoing leasing and operational activities
- Create, update, and maintain spatial data and attributes unique to the operator, ensuring accuracy and relevance
- Manage and integrate external data sources as necessary to enhance operator projects and decision-making processes
- Implement and execute comprehensive file maintenance protocols to ensure the integrity and efficiency of GIS databases
- Perform complex database queries to extract and analyze data, providing valuable insights for operational optimization
- Conduct in-depth spatial analysis to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities for process improvement
- Conduct thorough research to gather pertinent information required for updating and refining GIS databases, ensuring data accuracy and completeness
- Associate degree in GIS or related field preferred; bachelor’s degree desirable
- Minimum 2 years of GIS experience within the Oil and Gas Industry
- Proficiency in ArcPro mapping, 10.x or newer versions preferred
- Knowledgeable in GIS software processes and proficient in geodatabase creation, maintenance, and editing
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new software and GIS systems
- Experience providing support to GIS users
- Strong attention to detail in data analysis and management
- Capable of following written and verbal instructions, workflows, and procedures
- Self-starter with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
