Job Summary:
We are a privately owned veterinary clinic with two full time doctors. Our staff is like family and we have a lot of fun working together. Our clinic is fast paced and requires you on your feet for the majority of the day. Veterinary assistants work 7:30-5:30, with one day off a week. We do require about one Saturday a month. We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and possess the necessary skills to assist in providing high-quality veterinary services.

Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures
- Handle and restrain animals during examinations and treatment
- Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment
- Administer medications as directed by veterinarians
- Monitor and record vital signs of animals
- Educate pet owners on general care and post-operative instructions

Skills:
- Proficiency in dog handling and animal handling techniques
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology and critical care practices

- AVIMARK EXPERIENCE PREFERRED

Pay: $12.03 - $14.42 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
