Join our team as an Industrial Seamstress for our innovative Auto/Marine/Aviation Upholstery Shop. We are seeking a skilled individual with a passion for precision and quality to contribute to our dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in industrial sewing techniques, with a focus on crafting custom upholstery for automobiles, marine vessels, and aviation interiors. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects, collaborating with a talented team to deliver top-notch upholstery solutions to our valued clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sewing: Perform industrial sewing tasks using specialized equipment to create custom upholstery pieces for automobiles, marine vessels, and aviation interiors.
• Pattern Cutting: Accurately interpret patterns and templates to cut fabric and materials to the required specifications for each project.
• Material Selection: Assist in the selection of appropriate fabrics, leathers, and other materials based on project requirements, ensuring quality and durability.
• Assembly: Seamlessly assemble upholstery components, paying close attention to detail and precision to achieve a flawless finished product.
• Quality Control: Conduct thorough quality inspections throughout the production process to maintain high standards of craftsmanship and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with designers, upholsterers, and other team members to translate design concepts into tangible products that meet client expectations.
• Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on sewing machines and other equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety in the workplace.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Proven experience as an industrial seamstress, preferably in an auto/marine/aviation upholstery setting.
• Skills: Proficiency in industrial sewing techniques, including but not limited to straight stitching, overlocking, Binding and topstitching. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, patterns, and templates.
• Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for precision to consistently produce high-quality upholstery products.
• Adaptability: Ability to work in an environment that requires constant learning and revisions, and adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
• Team Player: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members to achieve common goals.
• Creativity: Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to contribute innovative ideas to enhance product design and functionality.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to sit/stand for extended periods, lift heavy materials, and perform repetitive tasks as required in an industrial sewing environment.
