Job Purpose The Director of Application Development plans, coordinates, and supervises all activities related to the design, development, and implementation of the organization's applications development and analysis function. The role manages multiple development teams supporting different products or lines of businesses and reviews different project requests, timelines and costs. The position creates functional strategies and specific objectives and develops budgets, policies, and procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Duties & Responsibilities Evaluate business requests and work with the stakeholders and delivery teams to ensure that business initiatives are properly identified and prioritized with clear measurable goals. Oversite of the development teams (on/off-shore) to ensure delivery goals are met on-time and within budget. Monitoring the software lifecycle through daily standups, development dashboards and status reports. Provide senior level architectural and technical leadership to delivery teams. Work with business and BA to formulate solutions to meet business needs. Responsible for product pre-sales and post-sales support.
