Tricon Solutions is Hiring a Laboratory Technician I (Chemical Lab) Near Monroeville, PA
Location: 440 College Park Drive, Monroeville, PA - 15146
Type: 4 months contract on W2
Schedule: Training - day shift hours M-F After Training - 3rd shift 7pm-5am Pay: Training - 18/hr during 1st shift training After - Will receive a 2/hr shift differential on 3rd shift (total of 20/hr)
Job Details:
Under direct supervision, may perform a variety of routine laboratory operations. Full training on operating small reactors or kilo lab equipment. The individual should be comfortable around chemical compounds and able/willing to handle these according to standard operating procedures.
- Able to set up and turn off laboratory equipment safely.
- Good record keeping for processes may be needed.
- This is an entry-level position but some experience and knowledge in the handling of chemicals or performing chemical reactions in laboratory settings are a plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensures that safety procedures, required PPE and housekeeping are maintained.
- Conducts work in a manner that protects themselves, co-workers, and the environment.
- Follow established work procedures.
- Required to learn all operating systems and able to shut them down without supervision in the case of any emergency.
Qualifications
- High School graduate/equivalent or associate degree, with a demonstrated technical and/or mechanical aptitude.
- Flexible to work shifts at night due to operations running 24/7/365.
- Communicates between shifts as needed.
- Demonstrates advanced laboratory and critical-thinking skills.
- Collaborates with team members and has excellent interpersonal skills.
