Job Summary:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Activity Leader to join our team for the summer! As an Activity Leader, you will be responsible for planning and implementing engaging activities for children in a daycare setting. Your role will involve promoting early childhood education, fostering creativity, and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow.

Duties:

- Plan and lead age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development, such as arts and crafts, music, theater, and sports

- Create a positive and inclusive atmosphere where children feel comfortable expressing themselves

- Provide guidance and support to children during activities, encouraging their participation and engagement

- Ensure the safety of all children by closely supervising activities and maintaining a clean and organized environment

- Collaborate with other staff members to develop activity schedules and coordinate special events

- Communicate with parents or guardians regarding their child's participation in activities and progress

- Maintain accurate records of attendance, incident reports, and any other necessary documentation

Skills:

- Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices

- Ability to educate and engage children in a variety of activities

- Experience working with children in settings such as daycare, childcare, or babysitting

- Passion for theater, music, arts, or sports coaching

- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff members

- Understanding of childhood development stages and the ability to adapt activities accordingly

- Knowledge of Christian counseling principles (if applicable)
