Eckerts rod and custom is Hiring an Auto Body Painter Near Molalla, OR

Eckert’s Rod & Custom located in beautiful North West Oregon is looking for an Automotive Painter, who would like the opportunity to work towards a long and rewarding career at ERC.

It’s an exciting time to bring your skills to ERC. We are a growing shop with lots of new and exciting builds, and this position plays a critical role in ensuring we maintain our excellent attention to detail and leading class quality. The builds we do here at ERC are a blend of the classic styling of the 50s and 60s with new modern performance, comforts, and amenities you would see in a high-end sports car today. We're looking for a hard-working team member who knows the ins and outs of automotive paint and bodywork and has the skills and knowledge to assist in developing new paint designs and coming up with new ideas to bring to the table. This is an key role that keeps our shop and projects standing out from all the others.

Primary Job Duties:

  • Assist in priming and painting vehicles
  • Assist in doing repair work on metal and fiberglass.
  • Doing general fabrication

REQUIRED SKILLS

Knowledge of:

  • Body Fillers
  • Safe work practices
  • Variety of paints and primers
  • Fiberglass and paint querying temperatures and conditions

Skills in:

  • Reading and obtaining diagrams and instructions
  • Use of hand sanding tools
  • Use of sanders
  • Use of paint guns and paint mixers

Ability to:

  • Maintain effective working relationships with other members of a work team
  • Maintain neat, accurate, and legible records

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Qualified candidates must be at least 18 years of age and meet the following requirements:

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED

Experience:

  • 3 or more years’ experience in paint and body worw
