Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to join our fun summer camp team! The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation, handling, and meal assembly in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Duties:

• Provide overall support to prepare, distribute snacks & catered lunch
• Keep kitchen and dining areas clean and organized.
• Basic food preparation and distribution of daily camp snacks.
• Cutting fruit, vegetables; distributing packaged snacks
• Hand out pre-packaged lunches (Monday-Wednesday)
• Help set tables for weekly cookout and pizza days; help food preparation on cookout days as needed
• Support clean-up in dining area after lunch
• Fill water pitchers and stock milk refrigerators
• Assist in organizing pantry and refrigerators as s food deliveries come in
• Help set-up and clean-up for daily cooking interest periods

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in the food industry is a plus!
- Knowledge of basic food handling and preparation techniques
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Understanding of food safety practices

Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
