Software Engineer (APIs and Vendor Application Support)

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting applications utilizing SQL Server databases, with a strong focus on Stored Procedures, SSIS, and query optimization. Additionally, you’ll play a key role in migrating applications from on-premises environments to the cloud, integrating data via APIs. Responsibilities:

• Application Support:
• Provide vendor application support, including managing releases, patches, and incident resolution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless application performance.
• SQL Expertise:
• Utilize your 3 years of experience working with SQL Server databases.
• Write, optimize, and fine-tune complex queries and stored procedures.
• Familiarity with SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) is essential.
• Cloud Migration:
• Participate in migrating applications from on-premises environments to the cloud.
• Integrate data using APIs.
• SDLC Knowledge:
• Understand different software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies, including Waterfall and Agile.
• Communication and Collaboration:
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills.
• Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in SQL Server and Windows Server.
• Familiarity with scheduling tools and code management software.
• Exposure to enterprise patterns and technologies.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice To Have):

• Linux Experience:
• Familiarity with Linux operating systems.
• XML Knowledge:
• Understanding of XML data structures.
• Zena:
• Familiarity with Zena (specific context required).

Job Description:

As a Software Engineer, you’ll modify existing software/application programs, whether they’re complex in nature or create new ones to meet user and management needs. You’ll design, test, debug, document, and implement these programs. Additionally, you’ll consult with users to explain program changes and provide technical support. In this role, you may also lead projects related to automated systems or procedures, providing direction and training to other team members.
