Ainsworth Game Technology is Hiring a Field Technician I Near Minneapolis, MN

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position will be responsible for installing, upgrading, servicing, and troubleshooting of AGT products and associated equipment in casinos within the Americas territory. While performing all tasks associated with the retrofitting and assembling gaming devices and related equipment the Service Technician will perform diagnosis of parts and peripherals and provide technical support to both internal and external customers. Maintains a clean and safe environment at all times while in the manufacturing facility.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs in shop assembly, maintenance, modification and/or overhaul of AGT products and associated equipment in accordance with appropriate AGT operation and service guides, and department policies and procedures.
  • Installs, upgrades, and services gaming devices.
  • Travels to casinos and other areas where establishment has purchased games, systems and performs product service tasks, as required.
  • Provide telephone support to customers, as needed, and escalate problems without delay to supervisor.
  • Using specification worksheet, performs configuration, diagnostic and final testing of AGT products and associated equipment.
  • Trains entry level technicians, as needed.
  • Maintains a clean and safe environment at all times while in the manufacturing facility.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education / Experience

  • Gaming school certification or equivalent through training and work experience; and minimum one-year related experience and/or training in installation of gaming machines.
  • Degree or diploma in electronics or related field preferred and minimum 1 to 3 years hands on experience in gaming machines.

Knowledge and Skills

Tech 1

Entry-Level Technician

  • Will know the basics of Ainsworth products.
  • Capable of independently installing, troubleshooting, and fixing mechanical issues of Class 3 machines.
  • Must know basic usage of hand and power tools.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Must be efficient in time management.
  • Capable of doing their own travel arrangements within the company policies.
  • Must turn in administrative items in a timely manner (including expense reports, jurisdictional licensing, and timesheets).

Tech 2

Possesses required Tech 1 skills, and also includes the following:

  • Knowledgeable of Ainsworth products.
  • Is capable of troubleshooting most Ainsworth products.
  • Is knowledgeable in the installation, optioning, and troubleshooting of Ainsworth’s progressive link system equipment.
  • Capable of independently installing, troubleshooting, and fixing mechanical issues of Class 2 machines
  • Mentorship to Tech 1 technicians.
  • Will be required to answer after-hour support calls.

Tech 3

Possesses required Tech 2 skills, and also includes the following:

  • Must be very knowledgeable of all Ainsworth products.
  • Basic knowledge of Ainsworth Class 2 servers.
  • Knowledgeable on Class 2 networking configurations.
  • Assisting all techs and customers on any field issues.

o This includes phone support during business and after-hours.

  • Must work closely with the Technical Services group on any troubleshooting and resolutions to various field issues.

  • Will be the liaison on any major projects.
  • If needed, will work closely with senior level management within the casino, and interdepartmentally within Ainsworth.
  • Mentorship to all technicians.
  • Must be proficient with MS office and capable of generating reports.

Physical Characteristics

  • Must be able to lift heavy boxes in excess of 75 lbs.
  • Position will be based in Nevada or any other jurisdiction as assigned.
  • Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain gaming license in any jurisdiction as needed.
