Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Assistant to join our dental team. The Clinical Assistant will provide essential support in dental settings, offering patient care.

Duties:
•Serves as dentist’s chair-side assistant.

• Maintain a sterile and neat working environment according to current infection control

procedures.

• Review the health history, make chart entries under the direction of the operator.

• Review daily schedule to set up appropriate trays and instruments.

• Prepare operatory for patient treatment.

• Maintains dental department equipment and work areas in compliance with health center

policies and procedures relative to infection control and safety issues, including the sterilization dental instruments and equipment and the proper disposal of all contaminated or potentially contaminated materials.

• Process and sterilize handpiece according to clinic protocol.

• Perform daily start-up and close-down procedures in lab and operations according to protocols.

• Set-up and clean-up materials and equipment needed for dental procedures.

• Take blood pressures and record in chart.

• Accurately chart results of oral exam, as instructed by provider.

• Complete new lab orders and track returned lab work/case.

• Handle and dispose of infectious and hazardous waste according to clinic protocols.

• Send prior authorizations and maintain files.

• Perform maintenance, cleaning and testing of dental equipment as outlined in equipment and

safety manual and radiation safety manual.

• Answer phone in dental clinic and screen calls, confirm appointments as needed.

• Inventory supplies and order replacement supplies.

• Attend staff meetings and contribute to planning and problem solving in clinic.

• Perform other duties within the scope of the position as assigned by the Management

Pay: $21.19 - $25.52 per hour

• EMR systems: 1 year (Preferred)
• Vital signs: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:
