Position Summary/ObjectiveThe Minnesota Lynx are seeking a dynamic and strategic Digital Product Manager to oversee our digital innovation efforts across various platforms including web, mobile app, and SMS. This role will involve managing campaigns, coordinating features, and evaluating success metrics to enhance fan engagement and experience. Reporting to the Director of Digital Products and Innovation, the Digital Product Manager will play a key role in driving digital initiatives and maximizing fan interaction.

WebThe Digital Product Manager will be responsible for:
  • Promoting the latest content and owned campaigns on the website.
  • Identifying and promoting trending content, must-watch moments, and breaking news.
  • Implementing content tagging strategies to improve discoverability.
  • Providing comprehensive gameday coverage including pregame and post-game recaps.
  • Replicating the LynxLine experiences on the web and app platforms.
Mobile App
  • Coordinating Push Notification campaigns to drive user engagement.
  • Managing app features, content, and ads to optimize user experience.
  • Assisting in QA testing features and addressing bug reports promptly.
  • Measuring the success of app features and optimizing them for better performance.
Sms
  • Managing SMS campaigns, reporting on their performance, and evaluating success metrics.
  • Responding to fan comments or reactions in a timely and engaging manner.
  • Engaging fans through SMS initiatives such as the Birthday Club.

  • Project Management: Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and drive projects to successful completion.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Proven ability to identify problems, analyze root causes, and develop creative solutions to address challenges and drive innovation.
  • Market Awareness: Knowledge of industry trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging technologies, with a keen understanding of how these factors impact product strategy and development.
  • Continuous Learning: Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development, with a willingness to stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies.
ExperienceAdditional information:3-6 years of experience in digital product management roles or related areas.
EducationBachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a professional office environment. Office hours are typically Monday-Friday from 8:30AM-5:30PM. In addition to working office hours staff may be required to work Timberwolves and Lynx home games, member events and meetings, and networking events. Work is generally sedentary in nature. The working environment is generally favorable. Work is generally performed within an office environment with standard office equipment available. This job also operates in a sports arena which includes bleachers/steps as well as moderate to high levels of noise.
Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate and exchange information with others both in person and over the telephone. The employee frequently is required to remain in a stationary position, as well as operate computers and other office equipment, such as a copy machine, printer and telephone. Staff will frequently ascend and descend bleachers/steps and traverse around the arena both on event days and non-event days. Staff may occasionally move objects weighing up to 15 pounds.
Travel Position may require travel to external events.
