If you have a passion for precision, a keen eye for detail, and a desire to play a crucial role in the operating room, we want to hear from you! Performs a variety of functions to prepare and maintain equipment and supplies as needed by the Anesthesiologist. High School diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience working as a CNA, EMT, Emergency Room Technician would all be a great backgrounds to get you started in this position that offers on the job training. Completion of an accredited program in Anesthesia Technology (A.A.S. degree) preferred and certification as an Anesthesia Technician (Cer.A.T) through the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians (ASATT) preferred. CPR certification obtained within three months of hire - Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through American Heart or American Red Cross is required. Requires ability to understand and identify medical equipment problems and apply technical knowledge in the set-up and calibration of medical equipment. Requires analytical skills in order to identify problems, troubleshoot and find the most efficient solutions to problems. Requires interpersonal skills in order to interact with a variety of professional and technical personnel. Must be able to walk, stand for long periods, over 80% of the assigned work period and lift and position equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Must adhere to weekday, weekend, and Holiday on-call rotation with a 30 minute response time. Children's Wisconsin is an equal opportunity / affirmative action employer.
