Job Summary:

A Driver is responsible for transporting clients from designated pick-up locations to the KANDU facility, utilizing a KANDU vehicle. Their duties include assisting clients with the KANDU bus they are provided for the transport, using a navigation system to map their route, and transporting clients from designated pick up locations to the proper drop-off location in a timely manner.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Transport clients to and from destinations
  • Arrive at destinations on schedule
  • Research and plan for traffic, construction, and weather delays
  • Use navigation applications to determine the best route
  • Always interact with clients professionally and friendly
  • Ensure that the vehicle is always fueled and ready for use
  • Inspect vehicle for safety and maintenance daily
  • Communicate when vehicle repairs are needed
  • Keep mileage records and repair records up-to-date
  • Qualifications:
  • Must have a valid driver's license and auto insurance.
  • Must have a clean driving record.
  • Be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to assist clients on and off the bus.
  • Must be able to operate a wheelchair lift.
  • Be dependable and reliable.
  • Be able to work in a team and individually with little supervision.
  • Must be able to pass a caregiver background check.
  • Must be ablet to pass a pre-employment drug screening and physical.
  • Be able to read maps, directions, layouts, drawings, and verbal and written directions.
  • Previous transportation experience is preferred.

Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge:

  • Effective communication.
  • Proficient knowledge of Wisconsin’s rules of the road.
  • High school or equivalent.
  • Strong ability to solve problems and implement solutions.
  • Ability to learn quickly and work in a fast-paced environment.

Job Types: Part-time

Company vehicle provided.

Hours: Monday – Friday

6:30a-8:30a

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 15 per week

Schedule:
