The clinic manager provides day-to-day oversight of clinic activities working closely with physicians and other providers, clinic personnel, hospital employees and others to provide efficient and effective clinic operations; ensure appropriate staffing levels and scheduling of clinic personnel; fiscal and operational analysis and management; patient satisfaction and quality improvement.

Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Manage all day-to-day operations including hiring directing and supervising all staff; scheduling, patient scheduling and facility management.
  • Problem solve and address issues raised by physicians, employees and patients in a timely manner.
  • Arrange and lead front office, physician, clinical and all staff meetings regularly.
  • Work closely with physicians and midlevel providers to provide a positive and productive practice environment and patient friendly experience.
  • Manage patient customer service, including supportive listening, resolution and follow through.
  • Consult with other members of the administrative team to address problems or issues that impact both clinical and financial aspects of the clinic.
  • Evaluate existing operations, addressing all aspects of operations including staffing, financial performance, strategic planning and practice development.
  • Identify strategies to grow the practices and assist with the execution of those plans.
  • Approve purchases, invoices and time cards for responsible areas in a timely manner.
  • Prepare clinic operating budgets and maintain operations within those guidelines.
  • Analyze financial performance adjusting operational decisions as necessary to meet goals and attain overall financial performance equal to or better than budget.
  • Prepare and present annual capital requests.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Completes department-specific orientation and annual competencies for this position.

Requirements for this position include:

  • Associates Degree preferred
  • Bachelors Degree preferred
  • A minimum of two years prior clinical patient care experience; clinic managerial and/or supervisory experience
  • Ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with patients and families, members of the community, physicians, mid level providers and hospital staff
  • BLS; current Driver's License in the State of Wisconsin required
  • Licensed in the State of Wisconsin as an RN preferred
