Are you an experienced medical front office professional looking to be part of something special? Harmony Health is a new family medicine practice coming soon to Millersville. As we prepare to open our doors, we are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Medical Front Office Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part of our brand-new office by being the first point of contact for our patients, ensuring the smooth operation of our front office and handling billing-related tasks. If you have excellent customer service skills, a strong attention to detail, and experience in medical billing, we want to hear from you!

About the Role:

Key responsibilities of this role include:

Patient Interaction:

  • Greet patients with a warm and welcoming attitude, providing exceptional customer service
  • Schedule patient appointments accurately and efficiently, coordinating with providers' schedules
  • Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries promptly and courteously
  • Verify patient insurance information and collect copayments or payments for services rendered

Administrative Duties:

  • Maintain electronic medical records (EMR) accurately and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Process patient registration and update demographic information as needed
  • Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including faxes, emails, and mail
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and data entry
  • Billing Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies accurately and in a timely manner
  • Review billing statements and follow up on unpaid claims or denied submissions
  • Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for patients, resolving any billing discrepancies
  • Assist patients with understanding their insurance benefits and resolving billing inquiries

About You:

You will be a great fit for this role if you bring the following:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in medical billing is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a medical front office or similar administrative role is required.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and billing software.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a professional and courteous demeanor.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance billing procedures, and coding guidelines.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
