FCP EURO is Hiring a Demand Planner Near Milford, CT

FCP Euro is in search of a talented demand planner to bolster our existing team and to take on a new challenge. Our mission as a supply chain is to plan for, source, procure and deliver the right products at the right time with the most optimized cost and quality to our customers. This role is imperative to that mission, forging tight relationships with our consumer division, validating and pressure testing forecasts, and ensuring we are generating the right signals to pass on to our supply planning partners. Job Responsibilities-Optimization of Forecasts:
  • Oversee the forecasting activities and translate sets of data from many sources into actionable insights to optimize demand signals
  • Monitor product category sales and inventory levels; analyze trends and apply them to forecasts
  • Analyze product assortment as well as identify trends in sales using that data to adjust forecasts appropriately
  • Anticipate factors influencing demand, such as upcoming promotions or seasonal changes, ensuring we have the correct demand signal on top SKUs
  • Utilize StockIQ to root cause forecast variances, understand drivers, and adjust forecasts accordingly
  • Update SKU forecasts to account for any one-time events that cause a demand swing
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Closely collaborate with internal groups (Product, Marketing, Pricing, etc.) to adjust forecasts for promotional activities
  • Partner with Product on New Brand/Product introductions, building initial forecasts as well as helping to assess cannibalization risk and impact. Help to determine learning as we measure the success of New Brand/Product introductions
  • Collaborate with Supply Planning on findings and adjustments made to the forecasts, highlighting any watch-outs or material changes
  • Report out the root cause of forecast variances, working with cross-functional partners to course correct for the future
Continuous Improvement and Reporting:
  • Ad hoc reporting as needed with a vast range of requirements from requests of SKU performance over specific time periods to the overall category performance and suggested replenishment information
  • Build sales and forecast reports to monitor trends and identify areas of opportunity
  • Review internal forecast accuracy reports (MAPE) and provide the root cause of inaccuracies
Qualifications:
  • BA or equivalent preferably in a related area (supply chain, finance, engineering, economics)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in demand planning in a high SKU count environment and have worked in an MRP or Demand Planning System.
  • Driven, willing to dive deep and learn
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to develop inventory models to support a complex supply network
  • Strong collaborative and influencer skills
  • Automotive aftermarket experience is a plus
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment
  • Ability to manage change effectively due to fluctuation in demands and factors influencing decisions.
  • Ability to source and analyze data to make sound judgments

Compensation
  • This is an exempt role with a base salary of $70,000 - $90,000 depending on experience, with a total compensation opportunity of $80,000 to $100,000 annually
