Key Responsibilities
- Monitors and oversees outgoing and incoming shipping activities to verify items are shipping to the correct location and in good condition.
- Ensures weights are correctly posted, correct charges are applied, shipments are moved from shipping points to storage areas, and issues with shipping orders are resolved.
- Reads all shipping notices, orders, invoices, and other documents to manage priorities and ensure the correct shipping methods are used.
- Ensures shipping records are accurately stored in the database.
- Responsible for inspecting every aspect of the loading operations to ensure they follow warehouse and shipping specifications and properly use warehouse space.
- Conducts regular inventory reconciliation to ensure adequate supplies to meet the company's production goals.
- Report to management on damaged goods and any discrepancies with an inventory.
- Responsible for enforcing safety regulations.
- Multitasking – must prioritize and execute tasks accurately in this fast-paced environment.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Technical shipping knowledge - technical knowledge of the machines and equipment used in shipping and a technical understanding of logistics procedures.

- Associate or bachelor’s degree in logistics or supply chain management.
